- bill did the best job he could for us. hillary will too. i'm sorry about bill's heart attack. thank the repub slime machine.
- I really hope Hillary doesn't win. Her presidency will be better than Bush's but it won't be good.
- I really hope it does not happen. I am tired of the Bush and Clinton families in OUR WHITE HOUSE. We need new blood. Hilary is just not going to cut it. How is this Democratic Congress working for you?? They haven't accomplished a thing. We need to look at someone else. Whoever stands the firmest on protecting Americans and closing our borders and no sanctuary cities etc. Middle class will be gone if we go with Clinton!!
- We'll have to wait to find out won't we? Sen. Clinton is not Bill's Siamese twin. She of course shares the basic Democratic principles all Democrats do. But she will build her own legacy, not just an old one of Bill's.
- Come on. You're cherry picking items from the legislative record to try and make the republicans look good and and the Clinton's look bad. I'm not going to bother going through them one by one except to point out that many of them were purely symbolic and some were overturned by the courts as being unconstitutional. In addition the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993 is what lead to the budget surpluses at the end of Clinton's term (you didn't include that in your list). It's also something that Newt Gingrich tried to take credit for even though it was passed before the republicans regained control.
- The Clinton legacy is a mixed one. Our national debt was reduced and we had the first balanced budgets in years. The downside is that Clinton promoted "free trade" agreements which destroyed American jobs and was generally too cozy with big business interests.
- heres a few other facts of the clinton presidency...you :forgot. yes history will repeat itself - The only president ever impeached on grounds of personal malfeasance - Most number of convictions and guilty pleas by friends and associates* - Most number of cabinet officials to come under criminal investigation - Most number of witnesses to flee country or refuse to testify - Most number of witnesses to die suddenly - First president sued for sexual harassment. - First president accused of rape. - First first lady to come under criminal investigation - Largest criminal plea agreement in an illegal campaign contribution case - First president to establish a legal defense fund. - First president to be held in contempt of court - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions - Greatest amount of illegal campaign contributions from abroad - First president disbarred from the US Supreme Court and a state court
- Why sweat it, she's not going to with the election only the nomination.
- We can expect good things and hope that history does repeat itself...
