I live in Texas but I work in New mexico. Am I required to pay New Mexico state income tax?

- I don't know New Mexico taxes but I had a friend who worked on the railroad on a mail train and he had to divide his income up and pay state income tax to the three states he made money in each day. In other words he paid state tax to the state he was in when he made the money. You might have to pay New Mexico state tax but if you made all your money there you wouldn't have to pay Texas anything.
- If the company is located in New Mexico.. the answer is Yes.. however you will get a certian amount of that back on your next yr taxes, if not all.
- Yes, even as a non-resident, you must file a tax return in New Mexico.
