where would i go to check on my ny state income taxes refund?

i just want to know how to see when they will be or already have sent it out to me.

1. Only a word of advice from me: If you did not itemize this year, and you received a state refund for 2006, be sure not to report it as state and local refunds received in 2007. You did not receive an economic benefit in 2006 which would make it not taxable for 2007. Answer to your question: Wait like everybody else.

You can check your refund status online at the NY Dept of Taxation website (first link below), or you can call 1-800-443-3200 (you will need to know your social security number, filing status and exact whole-dollar amount of your refund to use the phone status check).
