Does the state of Texas levy taxes on employee income?

2. The State of Texas does not tax employees on their income. I am not sure whether it taxes employers on what they pay to employees. Employees who both work in Texas and reside in Texas must pay federal tax on their income, but not state tax. Employees who work or reside in Texas, but not both, may be required to pay taxes to the other state in which they reside or work.
