What would a govnor have to do to cancle state income taxes?
What government departments do you think would be involved? How much money would it cost and how would you obtain the funds (remember to stay within the framework of the current laws and tax regulations)? How would this affect the citizens of Arizona?

- It is possible to cancel state income taxes depending on other available sources of revenue, I know that it is possible in Alaska due to how much money the Oil industry brings into Alaska.
- Income tax changes in a State, would have to be passed by the House and the Senate in the State and then the Governor could sign or not sign the bill. The Governor could not cancel the income tax for the State.
- It would have to follow the legislative process in Arizona, so the House & the Senate in the legislative branch, and the Governor in the executive branch would have to be involved. There would have to be separate bills or rules in the amending bill that provide for other types tax revenue generation (i.e. increasing DMV fees, corporate taxes, property taxes, vice taxes, license fees, etc.) In reality, it would also affect and cause work for the AZ Dept. of Revenue and any other agencies affected (DMV, IT, etc.)
