texas united states income tax question?

if i file my income tax and do not specify that i want direct deposit wouldnt i get a check in the mail, instead of direct deposit? why would they put the money in my bank account if i didnt specify that.

1. If you don't specifiy something, you will get a paper check.
2. To specify direct deposit, you would have needed to give them your Bank Routing number and your account number. They couldn't do Direct without this info.
3. Texas doesn't have a state income tax, but federal works just like any other state. If you don't specify direct deposit and put your valid account number on your return, you get a paper check, not direct deposit.
