I am filing Indiana state tax forms right now and I am in need of help. How do I include me working in Texas?
I worked in Texas for 2 weeks in the summer and made 1300 dollars. This amount is about a third of my total income. Texas has no state tax and Indiana does. How do I file my state taxes??

- You need to declare ALL income on your home state tax return. So all income from Texas has to be included.
- Dear ?: I presume the TX 2 weeks was a temporary assignment and thus your home state of IN would make you a resident for the entire year. This is the simplest way to handle your state issue. Just file IN as a full year resident. The 2 weeks in TX probably had no state taxes with held and you will pay on this in IN (hopefully no big deal). This advice was prepared based on our understanding of the tax law in effect at the time it was written as it applies to the facts that you provided. Click on my profile to read more.
