When States Lose Money they raise taxes to balance their budget, who shall I tax to balance my budget?
State of Illinois is going to raise income tax by 50% to balance the budget, that puts a dent in my budget so what should I do?

- Get a bail out!
- Bully the next liberal you see and take back "their" money that you provided for them.
- Prioritize spending. You have necessities and then you have desirables.
- Yourself.
- No they don't. When a state can't balance their budget, they look to the federal government and liberal states to bail them out. This is a well known fact.....http://www.sustainablemiddleclass.com/Subsidized-Red-Donor-Blue.html
- admit that its their right to do so, perhaps. And if you are a conservative, which i assume you are, then I am sure you have often told liberals who gripe about problems in the united states to move if they dont like it here. Well......
- Do like the republicans, take from the poorest in your family. SCREAM when someone says that the father should stop buying BMW's, instead of making his 4 year old go out and sell lemonade to feed the family.
- Accountability...... It's amazing that it's considered mandatory for the public, yet we allow our elected officials to slide. We need to demand accountability........don't ask me why we as voters don't. We are surely paying for that oversight right now.
- Take away your kids allowance, take 25% of any money they earn at odd jobs. The government has already set them up to repay the national debt when they hit the work force, might as will get them used to being victimized
- I think that (using your logic) you would, in fact, tax your employer. Your employer pays you, like the citizens pay to the state. And, I do believe that your employer would not like your idea to tax them further, just like the citizenry doesn't liked to be taxed further by any governmental agency. When governmental agencies rely too heavily on taxation rather than creativity and foresight planning, then the deck of cards will eventually fall in. Unfortunately, it's the common joe like you and I who pay the price for their incompetence. No one is held responsible for not doing their due diligence. Jail time & restitution should be "offered" to the offenders, but they will wail and cry, and get away with it, anyway. (at taxpayer's expense for the court time). I would suggest that you submit your perspective to your lawmakers, or pack up the wife(husband) and kids and head for Texas or some other state that has no state taxes (at least, as of today). 032309 2:02
