If Tax increases are so great why do people leave the state where there is no income tax?
Take California for example also Vermont many leave because of high taxes to either Texas or any state wit lower taxes.

- Why? For as many reasons as there are people: jobs, school, friends, family, adventure. We are still free. Enjoy it while it lasts.
- I haven't lived in a State that had a State Income Tax in Years.I've lived in S.Dakota and Texas over the last 11 years, and plan to keep it that way.Oddly enough, neither of those States is flat broke, and on the verge of Bankruptcy, like some of the high-tax Liberal States. AD

- There is more to a state than whether or not there is an income tax. If a person's chosen profession is doing especially well in a particular state, that person will accept the tax to gain the opportunities that exist in that state. Other factors would be climate, family ties, educational opportunities, characteristics of residents, or state laws.
- I have lived in texas, California, iowa and Nebraska. For me at least, we have always paid more in the Red states. When you buy a vehicle in Nebraska, we have to pay 10% of the cost of the vehicle for the plates.
