Do you get back ALL of your state income tax back when you do your taxes?
I just did my tax calculator at H&R block online and its pretty much just federal income that it goes through. http://www.hrblock.com/taxes/tax_calculators/index.html but i know we get 2 checks, how do you figure out how much of your state income tax you get back?

- depends on what state you are in and what deductions you have. You can get an estimate of state and federal return using turbo tax without having to pay for anything in advance.
- You'll need to file a state tax return, just like you filed a federal one. That will tell you whether you're entitled to a refund of any of your state taxes withheld.
