income taxes help

How much will I get back in taxes if my gross pay is $806.31?

Really that's the only info on my W-2 form. Fed Income Tax withheld was 22.66, Medicare Tax withheld was 11.69, and 49.99 for Texas State Income Tax. I just turned 18 and they will be teaching us how to do our taxes next month, but I'm too anxious to wait. I worked at Carnival which was then bought out and turned into a Fiesta when I worked there so will I be getting another W-2 form or is this all? I worked there for 4 months and it was my first job so what do ya'll think? I think I am going to file on my own and I don't know if this also helps, but I receive social security survivors checks which end when I finish high school. Obviously I'm not going to be doing my taxes right now, but since its so simple I just want to know what I might get.

  1. You need to be patient and learn how to do your taxes like they are going to teach you to do. You don't want to make a mistake and then have the IRS come after you!
  2. It would be $23 if you only had one job but you had 2. You'll have to wait for the 2nd W-2 and see how much was earned and withheld before we can figure it out.
  3. You will get $23 back from the IRS and $50 back from your state. That detail may help. If you rec'd at least $3000, you may want to add it to the return just for the purposes of the stimulus payment. If you didn't qualify in 2007, you can still qualify in 2008----but you need a minimum income to qualify. You won't be taxed on it, you will list it as untaxable SS income
  4. You would get 23 dollars back. I dont know if it is worth it to you to even file that! But then again, you may want to file just to get the practice. But legally, you do not have to file with such little income
