How long does it take the IRS to get the check to you?
I was just wondering how long it actually takes to get your check in the mail from the IRS? It said on their refund status site that they are mailing my check on February 1st... Friday. I wondered if I could expect it in the mail the following week or if IRS checks get lower priority or something post wise and take a bit longer to get to your home. Anyone have any insight. Or anyone already got theirs via Snail mail already and know how long it took?

- You're way ahead of me--my tax documents from my employers haven't even arrived yet. The earliest I've ever filed is the 31st of January, and it seems like the check comes fastest when I file then--about four weeks. Any later than that and it's at least six weeks.
- Since this is the early part of the tax season you should get it rather quickly. If they said they are sending it out on the 1st expect it in maybe 5-7 days via mail and maybe 2-3 days if its getting directly deposited.
