Does the IRS treat the Schedule SE form and the 1040 form separately? That is what they did on me.?
It seemed as though when I filled out both forms and turned them in, I was taxed on much more then I should have been. I transferred the amount on my 1040 form and was exempt from Federal Taxes, but they still wanted that full amount.

- Well if they did that to you it must be so!
- Form SE gets attached to form 1040 and both sent to the IRS together. Most people who are newly self-employed are surprised to see how much that is. When you're an employee your employer pays part of that tax for you but you pay the whole thing when self-employed. Sorry about that. http://www.irs.gov/ TAxRef http://www.pdftax.com/
