Why do celebrities and some Rich people live in California or Vermont?
I mean, why not live in Florida or Delaware, both states without any state income tax. California tax can be as high as 9-10% I can see some tech induestries and actors living there, but the majority of rich people, why not moved and pay NOT state income tax?

- California is just a much nicer place to live than Florida or Delaware. The weather is better, the people are more progressive, the scenery is nice, there's lots to do, etc. Why would a wealthy person care about paying tax? They don't. They just choose to live where it's nice, regardless of cost.
- I do not think taxes has anything to do with it, it is a status symbol...Actually the French Rivera is the place to be. Florida is over built, caters to retired and vacationers..the weather is great, except last year with hurricanes coming in from both sides.....(lived there for 14 years). California (lived there for many many years), I think the studios and sets were a big draw in the old days, now it is cheaper to make a movie in Canada or Italy. California has beautiful weather, but also at the mercy of the elements......earthquakes..Vermont is beautiful but can get very cold....wherever, one lives you can find good and bad aspects of it. With their kind of money, they can and do live wherever they want to....thank you and have a wonderful day, where ever you are at....
