2. People have to receive their W-2s by the end of January. I would imagine they would start preparing in January; but they have until April 15 to file.

4. Employers have until Jan. 31 to get W2's to us, and then we wait for our donation receipts, and our Mortgage Interest forms, then we make an appt. to get our taxes done. I usually always forget to take something in though, and have to go back and have it amended, so I try not to be in too big a hurry so I won't forget anything. We usually have an appt. in Feb. and get our refund end of Feb. or early March. Some people don't file until Apr. 15, so the tax season goes well into April and even after.
5. You can file your 2006 Income taxes as soon as you receive all of your W-2's. You have until April 15, 2007 to file your taxes. Some tax places like H&R Block only need your most last paystub of 2006 to do your taxes. Good Luck!!
6. Most accounting/tax offices open January 1st and the deadline is April 15th. Unless you file an extension.
