Lived in ohio for part of 07 but now moved to TX and filing taxes need advice?
I lived in Ohio during first 4 months of 07 and have been in Texas for the rest and since and now when I file my taxes Turbo Tax counts full income towards Ohio and since Texas does not have any state income tax it is showing that I owe a huge amount can anyone help?

- I'm not familiar with Ohio state tax laws, but I was in a similar situation. I moved from NJ to GA. I filed as a part year resident for NJ. The form asked questions like how long did you live there and how much did you earn while in the old state. So I only paid NJ taxes on what was owed for the 4 months I lived there. Ohio should have something similar.
- Use this web site to get the Ohio IT-1040 tax form: http://www.taxadmin.org/fta/link/FORMS.html Go to Page 4 of the Ohio IT-1040 and complete Schedule D. That will give you a credit for the amount tax TurboTax is indicating you should pay while you were a resident of Texas.
