Will I get my Tax rebate check if I owe state income taxes?
Did anybody have their tax rebate reduced because you owed to the state? I owe about the same as what my rebate will be.

- No, I think only if you got some money back you would get the rebate.
- From what I was told they will reduce it if you owe. Then again, I could have been given wrong info, best thing to do is go to www.irs.gov to find out. Good luck!
- If you are talking about a separate state tax, I think you would get it back. Go to irs.gov and the answer may be there.
- If state tax is for 2006 or previous years, then may be. If it is for 2007, then you will get your rebate check. If you did not provide your bank account information on your tax return, you will get by papaer check. Also in the first lot only those whose return was processed by April 15, 2008 are getting the rebate. Go to www.irs.gov. Click Where is my Refund? Then click Status of my Stimulus Rebate. or #01-866-234-2942 For information on stimulus tax rebate schedule, the eligibility and how much rebate you will get read: http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/02/are-you-eligible.html
