Did the IRS mess up with the rebate notices that were mailed?
Okay, we received a notice in the mail yesterday that says we will have our stimulus check by the 23rd of this month. But the online payment schedule says that we should receive it around July 11. Has anyone heard anything about the notices being wrong or something of that sort? Or has anyone else had this happen to them? My husband called the IRS, but just got a recording. Thanks. The last digits of the social security number is 91.

- The date on the notices is the MAIL date for your check, not the date you'll have it in your hand. With any luck at all though, you'll have it a few days later, or within a week.
- what are the last 2 digits of the person listed first on the return?if it's in the range to be received on the 11th of july based on the payment schedule, you'll are one of the lucky ones to be getting you'll rebate earlier b/c you'll are on the new system and not the old one,the new systems are processing the rebate earlier than scheduled. the letter is somewhat misworded ,your rebate will be mailed on the 23rd not received by the 23rd b/c the irs cannot guarantee a date you will get it only the date it will be mailed,b/c when you get it totally out of their control. you should receive it between the 27th-29th b/c monday is a holiday (memorial day)
- I would go off the letter! What are the last two of the soc? That's exciting! I'm jealous! We are June 20 and still no info =(
- Trust the letter, not the schedule. The published schedule is only an estimate that the IRS came. It is merely their "big picture" plan. The letter means your specific rebate was processed and scheduled for that day. < additional > At this point, the last 2 digits of your SSN don't matter. Your payment is scheduled...and for you that's a good thing. :)
- Go here to find out the issue date of your rebate. I am assuming it will be mailed on this date. Where's My Stimulus Payment http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=181665,00.html
