What do I do if I have more than four dependents on my 1040?
I am filing my IRS 1040 tax form, and have six children I can claim as dependents. Line 6 says, "if more than four dependents, see page 15." Where is page fifteen? What am I supposed to do?? Please help! NM

- See page 15 of this booklet... http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040.pdf Generally you simply need to attach a statement listing all of your dependents and their SSNs, relationship to you, and whether they qualify for the child tax credit.
- Page 15 is in the instructions for form 1040. It says "If you have more than four dependents, attach a statement to your return with the required information."
- I would give you a simple solution, file your return with taxsimple they automatically generate such overflow statements and the best part of taxsimple is that you just need to copy your information from the source documents which you are having and the rest things will be done by the program. Just follow the link: http://www.taxsimple.com/
