what if I need a copy of my 2006 federal income taxes and I dont have one?

Need one for college and e filed and now i dont have one... how can i get a copy?

2. You can get a transcript of the return information faxed to you if you have access to a fax machine or mailed to you in 7 to 10 days Call 1-800-829-1040
3. You should have printed out a copy when you e-filed. If you used tax software, just fire it up and print it out. If you went through a website, log in to your account and print a copy. Although you can get a transcript of your return it's probably too early for that. It may be a few months before that information is available from the IRS for 2006 returns but it won't hurt to ask. You won't be able to get a copy of the return from the IRS until May of 2008 or so.
