How hard is it to Be Approved For a RAL at a tax preparation place?

Do they go by your Credit?

  1. STOP! Don't even look for a refund anticipation loan. It is about the worst deal you can find and just made for suckers. Save a bunch of money by efiling and having direct deposit of your refund in about two weeks.
  2. I agree with wartz, but if it is the way you need to go then there are a few things you should know. If this is your first time they will only give you half of what you are expecting. They don't know if you will owe this out or not and aren't going to take the chance. You will receive the other half in two weeks or so. The approval process isn't tough at all. The interest rate and fees are so huge that they can allow quite a bit of wiggle room. They do use your credit, but I have two aunts with horrible credit and they are able to use this service. Good luck in whatever you decide.
  3. Dont do it unless you really really need the money. There are fees involved but not high ones.
