income taxes help

I think we should add a voluntary contribution box to Form 1040 for people who think their taxes are too low?

I keep hearing that prominent wealthy Americans think their taxes are too low. I am told by the IRS that we can now paid more taxes than required by law using the existing tax forms but maybe these prominent wealthy Americans don't know that. I am tired of hearing that Warren Buffet thinks Death taxes are too low. Then I notice he donates $42 billion to the Gates Foundation to avoid death taxes in the future and to deduct his charitable contributions in the present. I think we can clear up what these prominent wealthy Americans think by letting them write a check for the amount they believe they were undertaxed and take the debate from their.

  1. They can already do this but I guess that would not be a 'write off' nor would it buy them votes and lucrative contracts. They would rather raise the taxes on the low and middle class and then complain that they are not taxed enough. Such hypocrisy. I'm sick of Bill Clinton using that line that he should be taxed more. Doesn't he know he can pay all he wants but he keeps repeating it because he thinks most people cheering him on are ignorant.
  2. Paris Hilton. The best reason to maintain the "death tax" Can I check a box for those I think aren't paying enough tax ... like EXXON?
  3. I agree but no one would contribute. Liberals only want you to contribute more not themselves. Glad you asked
  4. Good idea but it will never happen...those prominent, wealthy Americans are usually just mouthpieces for some liberal candidate or organization and would rather talk about what they want to do instead of actually doing it (do you honestly think they would part with their money?). Come to think of it, that sounds a lot like one particular presidential candidate.
