I am about to sign an independent real estate contract with a broker in Illinois..?

what are the docs i should expect to sign? taxes? contract? what else? i dont want to be surprised with a doc that i dont know what it is..your help is much appreciated

1. Are you referring to an Independent Contractor Agreement, aka Salesperson/Broker Agreement? If so, definately an I-9 (Employment Verification) & a W-9 providing him with your social security number for tax reporting purposes. That would be it other than maybe you agreeing to provide him with some info like Broker being named as an "additional insured" on your auto insurance, MLS membership application, Board of Realtor application (if the office belongs to it), order form for business cards? Can't think of much else. You kind of go as you can afford with regard to everything else.
