I moved, how do I notify the IRS of our new address for tax rebate checks?

- Your post office should forward it if you gave them your change of address form.
- Download the Form 8822 from irs.gov and submit it.
- don't need to just fill out a change of add card and the check should be forwarded to you. you can aways also do it when you fill out your tax return if you have not yet done so.
- According to the IRS: Q. I have moved since filing my 2007 tax return. How will my payment reach me? A. You should file a Form 8822 with the IRS and a change of address notice with the U.S. Postal Service. This will ensure your check is sent to your new address. Without your current address, the check could be returned to the IRS as undeliverable. Link to the form: http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8822.pdf
- Contact IRS at 1-800-829-1040 to have your address updated immediately.
