1. If you mean with your Tax Id Number or EIN.. It all depends on if they are going to run a credit check on that number. Most cases companies can tell if it is a SS# or EIN # and if you get caught you could get fined or go to jail for trying to use a EIN number as your SS #.
2. To work you need a valid SSN. The ITIN is only valid for filing a tax return.
3. To legally work in the USA, you need a Social Security Number that is valid for employment. Nothing else is good.
