Why am I not getting my IRS refund check when they say I should?

I have contacted the IRS several times and looked on IRS.GOV for updates and every time I do they situtation changes. 1st my refund was to be posted to my account on 2/15, then 3/7 and now 3/14 but when I look on line they say to ref. code 1221. So I call and give the rep that code and they have NO idea what it means? What is the point of giving us a customer service rep if they are not able to tell us what the hold up is? The only thing they told me was that I needed to wait up to 4 WEEKS for a letter with further explaination?? What is going on here?? ***UPDATE*** I checked the IRS web site today and now I'm a code 1121, not sure what that is either don't want to call b/c the reps won't know anything else either! I just wish they would give me my hard earned money.... I'm thinking the IRS is really messing up this year seeing how I'm not the only one in this situation... This is the EXACT reason why ppl dislike the IRS!!!!

3. I have been waiting for a refund since 1/25. I finally rec'vd a letter that only tells me the same this the customer service reps have been telling me "NOTHING". It says "We have received your tax return and are holding it until we complete a more thorough review" It also tells me if i dont receive something meaning refund or another letter in 3 weeks from 2/25 i can call back..Geee Thanks!! You are not alone there are many that are receiving the same messages and letters GOOD LUCK!!
