VA resident twmp working in SC?

I currently reside in Virginia. I am registered to vote, hold a Virginia driver’s license…etc. What If I take a temporary job (6-9) months in SC, do I have to change anything? Will I file VA or SC state income tax for 2008? Will I have to change my driver’s license to SC?
