income taxes help

income taxes?

Hello, I owe $10,000 in back child support and I know that my tax returns are going to go to my ex. Is there any way to get any portion of that back to help support my own family? Also I heard that the Franchise Tax Board only intercepts a person's Taxes if they owe over $5,000, If this is true will they not intercept next years return if my tax return this year pays it down to below $5,000?

  1. yes and no.
  2. You do know that your child support is for your child your help to make ??? It isn't extra income for your ex.!?! Since you have decided to exclude your first child & only want to help out your new family you are a JERK & I won't give you any tax break advice.
