- You'll find lots of choices starting here: http://www.irs.gov/efile/
- If your adjusted gross income was $54,000 or less in 2007, you can use Free File to prepare and e-file your 2007 Federal Income taxes online. http://www.irs.gov/efile/article/0,,id=118986,00.html Many states, such as Virginia, also have free filing online. Whether you can file your state taxes for free depends on your state.
- you can go to your local IRS....here in Austin if you make under a certain amount ...you can get it done for free by an IRS employee....but go real early....it may be a long day......call your IRS...they can tell you...
- Contact you local IRS office and find out where the VITA site is located. They will do you return for free. And if you are a senoir citizen contact AARP they will do you return for free also.
