i got stuck on this question while filling out my taxes--?

"Did you receive a refund of state and/or local income taxes during 2007 from your 2006 tax return or a prior year tax return?" I'm filling out TEXAS taxes..... well... I worked in CA in 2006. where can i find the answer to this question in my 2006 return file--- cause i can't remember if i got a return on state or federal....

1. If you received a refund you should have received a 1099G. Also, unless you itemized last year you do not need to worry because you would only have to claim it this year if you deducted last year.
2. You will find the answer in your 2006 file.
3. Thats why you need to keep copies of your tax returns.
