Looking for good Personal Income Tax Preparer/Accountant?

I am looking for a good personal Income tax preparer/accountant in Durham Region. I'd prefer to deal with someone in Port Perry, or Clarington. I usually do my taxes with tax software packages but I'd like to deal with a professional as this year's tax may be a little more complicated. I wouldn't want to miss out on any opportunities for a return. If you can suggest someone, can you also tell me what their average rate is etc? Thanks

1. Go to H & R Block. They will take care of everything and if the CRA questions anything on your return, they will deal with it all at no charge. Their fee includes year round assistance. They won't charge you too much, between $75-$120. Students $30. I had no problem with them. They are professional and friendly. A CA or CGA will charge you a lot more, and not provide any extras at all (unless you pay for them).
2. I would suggest you ask around if any of your friends use a professional accountant, see if they recomend someone. If that doesn't work, try calling a few in the phone book. Ask about experience in your areas of concern.
