Income Tax?

I'm filling out my FAFSA form for next year. I'm going to be a grad student. It asks a question about the total income tax paid in 2007. What does that include is your total income tax, just federal tax or does it include Social Security and medicare tax too? I'm just wondering

2. It does not include SS/MC.
3. Just answer the question that was asked. If it asks for how much INCOME TAX was paid, add up your Federal, State, and Local income taxes paid ONLY. That would not include SS or Med taxes.
4. Social security and medicare are not income tax.
