How accurate is the IRS refund status website?

I have been told it takes up to 8-15 days to receive my tax refund back from the IRS (which was efiled) But I have also told it takes 5-8 days? Which is it? On the IRS website it says my refund is being processed, does that mean it will be soon?

1. If it is going into your checking account it should take about two weeks. If it says you refund is being processed...it is not really soon. When it gives you the specific date that is when it is soon.
2. there is a rebate calender. for example if you filed. jan 11-15th you will revcieve your check Jan 25th.
