Income taxes????
MY FIANCE JUST RECENTLY GOT SUED FOR A REPOSESSED CAR IN 2007, CAN THE COURTS OR BUISNESS THAT SUED HIM HAVE THE RIGHT TO TAKE HIS INCOME TAXES?? AND IF SO CAN THEY TAKE ALL OF IT?? WE HAVE 2 KIDS TOGETHER AND I AM A STAY AT HOME MOM SO HE IS CLAIMING ALL 3 OF US, WOULD THEY STILL BE INTITLED TO THAT? THANK YOU TO ANYONE HOW HAS ANSWERS!!

- They can sue--after all he didn't pay them as he promised. If they get a judgement, they can put a levy on his bank accounts and other assets. And the tax refund is an asset.
- They can't directly take his tax refund. The IRS and state tax authorities don't offset tax refunds for private debts or judgments. However once someone has a judgment against you they can often use that to go after bank accounts and other assets such as a home. What they can go after depends upon state law so he really needs to consult with his attorney for advice on this.
