Which should I move to: Oregon, Texas, Kentucky, Tennessee, or New York?

I have an opp through my employer to request a transfer to one of these states. This is what I know. Oregon: Job would be in Portland. Great scenery, clean air and water, probably the highest quality of life of the five locales, decent people, close to Seattle, no sales tax. Texas: Currently first pick. Would be in San Antonio. Hill Country, very clean, no income tax, people are great, some of the nicest looking women I've seen, ATX nearby. Kentucky: would be at Ft. Knox near Louisville. The cost of living is cheap, low crime. I've never been treated nicely there; bad attitudes. I guess if I listened to country music all day, had dirty roadsides and lousy weather I'd be depressed, too. Tennessee: would be in Nashville, a great city! Beautiful state, nice highways, great recreational opps, friendly folk. Closest to my home state. New York: would be in Manhattan. Like the people, fast pace, and can-do will-do attitude. It's its own universe! But the cost of living...whoa!

3. i would go with the oregon myself. my cousin is living out there right now, and he says it's awesome. the air is nice and clean, the people are nice, it's basically awesome.

6. I would go for Nashville. I moved Bowling Green Ky, just 40 minutes north of Nashville. We have a nice city too.

9. I haven't been to Oregon but I hear it's as you say. I've been to Seattle and it would be my choice if that was it. Incredible scenery and a mild climate at lower elevations. Texas is hot as hell ( literally) in the summer. I'm in or through NYC twice a month and you couldn't pay me enough money to put up with the congestion and population density although I've never been mistreated there in any borough. Louisville........eh - doesn't do anything for me. Nice cosmopolitan small city. If you're a river guy might be a plus. I Love Nashville! great people, mild climate, plenty to do indoors and out, major league sports franchises, several unique music scenes, lots of shopping , good freeway system and some of the hottest looking babes in the South.
10. I think Kentucky brcause I live there and would never move anywhere else. The temperature is hot in the summer and cold in the winter I think KY is amazing and there is a lot of churchs so it wouldnt be hard to find one.
11. Speaking from 17 years of experience in San Antonio (previously Houston), it's the best place to live. And yes, the women are very attractive. The housing market is definitely a buyer's market right now. Get here fast! It's living in a city without the city. Make sense? You will want to live on the northside, or more particularly the northwest side. It is actually called the "new northwest". North central was the hotspot for years, but it's moving west. Settle around Helotes and you wil be a happy person. The traffic getting bad, but I think it is to be expected. Just 25 minutes to Medina Lake or Canyon Lake from your front door and you are away from it all!
