If federal income tax revenues were further slashed by 30% what would happen?

if starting next year, the federal income tax was slashed by 30%, and all federal social programs from education to medicare to roads and highways, etc, were cut to make up the shortage....if state income taxes stayed the same, but state real estate taxes were slashed by 30% as well, and state and city services were cut to make the shortage, what would life be like in the United States? Please try to look at things from the point of view of society as a whole, anot just your personal vantage point.

1. That is CRAZY TALK, no politician is going to cut their source of revenue.
2. smaller government, less bureaucracy,but the politicians wont take pay cuts or even consider doing away with their jobs. so they cut programs instead. They scoff at the idea of giving up their position of power over the masses.
3. You are talking about cutting out "pork barrell politics" and that is NOT gonna happen! NO Politician is going to say to his people 'okay you will have to get by on 30% less next year' and have any chance of getting elected! Politicians put more roads, bridges, money to pet projects, etc and get re-elected, not the other way around! Let ME pick some projects....no more public finding for ANY cancer research, no more public funding for roads that the Government does not use, no more funding for ANYONE that can't provide something back in return. Meaning if you are an unwed mother and can't work, no money for you! Cutting taxes is not the way to go, paying for things TODAY is! Congress has a VERY bad habit of authorizing something and then finding out that they have NO money to pay for it.
4. you're off track, this week Bushco got 460 billion for the penatgon (or his war pals pockets) as he complained about the 3.5 billion in the bill earmrked for our nations needs.....get real! we are being looted by the so called federal govt that has been hijacked by cartel bosses who glom billions....
5. You would have the most rampant crime spree a civilized nation has ever known.
6. FICA is illegal...it was founded to fund WW2....that's been over for 60 years...
