What are the general State & Federal tax rates on property/real estate in Southern California?
& When are these taxes due? If the rate varies - what are ballpark figures?

- California properties are only taxed through the county in which they are located. Though that is technically correct, you will find that a city tax might be on the county tax, because the county collects the tax and forward it to the city in which the property is located. Each county is different as each city charge different taxes and at different rates. Also some properties are covered by proposition 13 which is a tax intuitive that was passed in the 70's. because of the city in which a property is located you would find one person's tax higher than another that is in the same county located about 5-10 miles apart. The other part to the county tax is the value of the property. So a house even in the same city would have a different tax value based on the value of the house. Property taxes are due twice yearly once in April and the other month is November. I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck. "FIGHT ON"
