Where can I verify, if the IRS received my Amended Tax Return Forms, other sites than IRS.gov?

  1. Run down to the nearest 7-Eleven. When you realize that that was totally the wrong way to go about it, either check on the IRS website OR give them a call.
  2. Call IRS @ 1-800-829-1040. Your tax records are private, only IRS can verify if they processed your 1040X.
  3. One of those moments when you wished you'd mailed it the old fashioned way: Certified Mail, with Return Receipt Requested. At least you would've known that a living being actually accepted the envelope containing your 1040-X.
