Does the IRS accept a faxed signature on tax forms?

I'd like to just sign the signature page by fax to my tax preparer, who would then mail in the whole thing.

1. Yes, but you would need to have a signature declaration mailed in with the form, otherwise you're going to get your tax form back needing and original signature.
