- Its immediate as soon as the deposit is made.
- Midnight of the day they said. In your case, it should be midnight tonight. That's just a rule of thumb, of course. They can't really send out millions of checks at the same instant, so it may take a few hours for them to download that days payments.
- I'm in the same boat...I was supposed to receive my refund Wednesday and it isn't in my account today...(Thursday). When you find out, I'd like to know too. I wanted to use my return to pay off a credit card that I'm paying about $2.00 a day in interest...where is my money? Time is money! I always thought the money would be received the same day, electronically...maybe I'm wrong...it appears so. which web IRS web site did you use?
- The IRS has direct deposit cycles, usually on Thursdays the tapes are sent. Some banks credit accounts with direct deposits at midnight the same day. Other banks roll tapes 1-4 times the following day (fridays). So, your direct deposit should be in your account no later than say about 4pm Friday afternoon. You can contact your bank personnel in the morning and ask them if there is a deposit pending.
