Is anyone still getting the reference 1121 when they check wheres my refund on the irs website?

I was suppose to get my deposit on the 1/26, and the irs website stated that my refund had been direct deposited, and I waited till the 31st, and still nothing, so I checked the website again, and there it was reference 1121, your return has been delayed for processing. So I called and they said that I should have my refund on the 9th, and still nothing. I don't have a clue what to expect for the 16th.

  1. Yes....I'm still getting a 1121. I was told that the earliest date to expect a refund is 2/23. Others in the "1/26 group" have been told 2-4 weeks from Feb 5. I don't know what to believe anymore.....
  2. Hello I was suppose to get my also on 1/26. I was told yesterday on the phone by the irs that I should get it on 2/16 but no later than 2/23. I don't believe anything they tell me now. They have giving me different stories since 1/31.
  3. Hello, has your code updated on the irs website? I am still on 1121. It seems that on the turbo tax forum that many people have changed to the 1201 code and they are being told 2/16.
  4. IRS Cautions About Mistakes Claiming Telephone-Tax Refund *WASHINGTON - The Internal Revenue Service today offered taxpayers tips for requesting the telephone excise tax refund, after early tax returns show some people are making basic mistakes, others are requesting excessive refunds and many are missing out on the refunds, altogether *Early mistakes found on a sample of 2006 returns filed during January include: * Filling out the Form 1040EZ-T incorrectly by failing to show a refund amount on Line 1a. Designed exclusively for requesting the telephone-tax refund, this simple form is for people who don't need to file a regular income-tax return. Filing an incomplete form typically delays a refund and often leads to follow-up correspondence with the IRS. More than 10 million low-income people, many of them senior citizens, are expected to file this form. * Failing to request the telephone tax refund on a regular federal income-tax return in situations where the taxpayer appears to qualify. More than one-third of early filers did not request the telephone tax refund. This includes filers on Forms 1040, 1040A, 1040EZ, 1040NR and 1040NR-EZ. About 136 million individuals and couples are expected to file one of these forms, and most will, likely, qualify for the telephone-tax refund. Anyone who files one of these forms cannot file Form 1040EZ-T. I filed 1/18/2007 and was included in the group of early filers who did not request the telephone tax but was eligible dating back to 2003. Hope this sheds light on all those who are waiting and clueless to the fact that the IRS did pull early returns for review for the sole purpose of the telephone excise tax. Good luck!
