1. I think it depends on how long you lived in Arizona. Because if you lived in arizona for some certain of time, then I don't think that you will have to pay...Hey that is my guess!
2. Only if you earned income from a California employer. Retirees used to have to pay CA taxes on their California-based retirement income, but that was changed around 1993 or so. Talk to your tax professional to make sure in your case.
