what forms do i file to IRS when I sell real estate property?
Sold some land and making sure I am filing out the right forms

- If it was personal property, you would just have to fill out the Schedule D with your 1040 form. If it was business property, you would have to fill out Form 4797, Schedule D, and Form 1040.
