The IRS - Who says they can collect taxes ?

I have read many answers BUT nobody has yet told me WHEN CONGRESS stipulated the IRS were to collect taxes from me. Sorry folks, but the IRS IS an independent corporation / The lawto collect is one thing-Bur for the IRS to do it is another !!!

While taxpayers have the right to contest their tax liabilities in the courts, taxpayers do not have the right to violate and disobey tax laws. 4. why are you complaining? nobody is forcing you to pay taxes. just think of the huge dude you're going to be sharing a cell with. hehehe
5. I've seen several people saying the IRS can't collect taxes, but if you'll notice people lose their house and go to jail for not paying...it stands to reason law or not, they can.
6. Heard of President Abraham Lincoln? He began Fed tax collection. Aid civil war effort. Its Fed law. check it out.

8. An independent corporation? Not sure where you get your information, friend, but it's bogus. The IRS is part of the Department of the Treasury, a cabinet-level agency of the US Government. The authority to levy taxes comes directly from The Constitution. The authority to levy income taxes from the 16th Amendment and the authority to actually collect income taxes is contained in Title 26 of the US Code.
9. I notice the Media Black Out of the ED Brown tax evader stand of. Usually there is around the clock live coverage of a stand off with police. The government doesn't want the people to be informed on this topic.
10. If your selfemployed or your employer doesn't take enough out of your check to cover your taxes just don't pay. Someone will 1st send you a letter requesting money nicely finally they will send someone to talk to you then you can ask them these questions.
