when does irs mail checks?
i e filed on feb 3, got message that said direct deposited on february 16. i put the wrong routing number, so got talked with irs and they said i would get paper check. talked with irs on on feb. 28th, said it had been mailed. was just wondering if anyone knows what days the irs actually mails checks. since i talked with the irs on feb. 28, (wednesday) i was just wondering if it was put in the mail on 3/2/07 ?

- the mailings are timed so the odds of u being home to receive the check are greater......usually a sat or a monday....theoretically , this prevents the ck from sitting in the mailbox and risk being stolen........
- click on these http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p2043.pdf and check what day u file and they will mail out on friday and they usually mail check weekly
