Do you like the fact that 100% of your Federal Income Taxes go toward paying interest on the Deficit?
The government has over 100 other taxes it imposes on you to pay for actual government "services." Local taxes, gas taxes, and property taxes are examples. With none of the future presidential candidates except for Ron Paul pushing for any reduction in government spending, how do We The People stop government from the reckless spending and waste of our money?

- We are getting taxed to death - and there are too many NOT paying enough (or even anything). I say...time for the FAIR TAX!
- That's wrong. A little over half of Federal taxes go to the military. Where ever you got your stats from is wrong.
- if every American refused to pay taxes, I bet that would say volumes. what can they do, arrest every single american citizen? it would be nice if we had a choice where our taxes went and got to vote on what was taxable and what wasn't.
- IT PAYS FOR MY SCHOOL BUCKO DON'T TAKE AWAY THE MONEY FROM MY SCHOOL YOU COMMUNIST
- I think you have done your math wrong. It's about 10%. And, military spending is still pretty small, although it has increased significantly. For real numbers see the following website: http://www.gpoaccess.gov/usbudget/fy08/pdf/budget/tables.pdf
- I think we can all agree that the Federal Debt is atrocious as a result of irresponsible fiscal policies. But your lead sentence is way off. Here are the facts: - Revenue from income taxes: $809B (ref: http://www.publicagenda.org/issues/factfiles_detail.cfm?issue_type=federal_budget&list=7) - Interest on the national debt: about $350B If you want to be taken seriously, I would recommend to "know thy facts". When a person shows reckless disregard for the facts in pursuit of an agenda, it is easy to dismiss them as a nut, and marginalize them in the grand debate.
- Its more like 20%
