I think the best way to help working families would be to raise the std deduction to $30,000?
Additional 2-6 people would be $10,000 and any more $2000. This would eliminate any income tax for all making less than $30,000 and simplify most tax preparation for most of the country. Raise corporate taxes and raise rate on all brackets that are left to pay for it.

- Actually your answer is not exactly ontrack. The premise is to help. Each of us must take care of our own house. The problem is not taxation. The problem is when people spend beyond their income needlessly, and then expect some handout. We people have learned that we when we cooperate we can accomplish more than we could by ourselves. That is the basis of government. It costs money. Corruption is a separate issue for discussion.
